Conflict to Community
(To be determined)
RWANDA
An opportunity to study peace in other nations.
In the world there are wars and rumors of wars. In our society there is domestic and community violence. Violence is as old as humankind. What are the remedies to violence? Can we learn from a nation that experienced ethnic violence for centuries but has seemingly overcome it?
The Nathaniel H. Pickett II Foundation would like to invite a select group of students to travel to Rwanda to meet and hear the testimonies of victims and perpetrators as well as government officials/planners.
The intent is to learn lessons about peace and violence reduction.
